Mission: The Beacon is a nonprofit organization connecting rural Nevadans with critical resources and services, promoting self-efficacy and well-being through community support.

July 2024

All business licensing and related documents were approved. The Board of Directors was formed. The Organization began operations (community events, outreach, consultation services, etc.).

Fall 2025

The Beacon anticipates expanded services and intends to offer mental health counseling.

Summer 2026

The Beacon anticipates further expansion of services into a group practice and intends to offer a variety of therapies (occupational, physical, speech, pain management, etc.)

2026 and beyond

The Beacon seeks to obtain further resources, community partners, and permanent facilities within the Fernley, NV area and beyond.

Access to resources and services is equally important to rural Nevada populations as it is to those living in urban areas.

Our goal is to help people living in rural areas to gain the tools needed to build equity in accessing resources and services. We focus on removing barriers in technology, language, and distance.

Together we can build a healthy community.

Our leadership team bring years of experience in social services. We’re results driven, with a proven record of successes.

Ready to take the next step?

A healthy community starts with you. Whether you’re most comfortable contributing time to help achieve our support goals, money to help us grow, or energy to put political pressure on our governments to change, we need you on our team.

“If you really want to receive joy and happiness, then serve others with all your heart. Lift their burden, and your own burden will be lighter.”

— Ezra Taft Benson
